Holiday Yule Tree to Be

The Scotch Pine tree-to-be resides in classic nurseryman pots with matching saucers made from renewable grain husks, primarily rice hulls, and organic pigments. These utilitarian pots and plants are united with an elegantly simple design to invoke an old-world aesthetic that is distinctly modern in expression.

1. Remove the bags of soil and seed from the pot. 2. If necessary, lightly moisten soil to improve consistency for planting. Pour the soil into the pot and level soil. 3. Open seed packet and plant the seeds ½" (12 mm) deep in the soil. 4. Lightly water seeds and soil (using a spray bottle works best). 5. Place a piece of plastic wrap over top of pot and set on its saucer in a warm area (about 75–80°F/24–27°C) out of direct sunlight until seeds sprout. 6. When seeds sprout (4–8 weeks), remove plastic wrap and place in a brightly lit location with morning sunlight. 7. When soil appears dry, carefully add water, but avoid over-watering. 8. During winter, put in a cool place to mimic outdoor conditions. 9. Transplant your tree to a larger pot or outdoors within two years.
